It was gratifying to see how many people were interested in our Exhibitors’ Forum presentation – “Outstanding Graphical User Interfaces in Embedded Devices.” Jesse is correct when he mentioned (in his last blog post) that there was standing room only. There were at least 70 people in the room during our talk. This kind of interest really validates our offering. And the attentiveness of the crowd combined with the fact that NO ONE fell asleep makes this speaker feel great!
My presentation was about getting outstanding HMI on an embedded target. Great user interfaces create market leadership. Companies developing products with embedded displays understand this now more than ever before. HMI is a hot topic. Everybody wants to move to a TFT for their next generation product. Generating code is clearly the way to go.
In car design (which is huge in Germany, of course), nice cars have terrific exterior designs. Truly outstanding cars combine a beautiful exterior with a world class HMI. A colorful, intuitive, dynamic user interface is essential for delivering the complete package.
How do you get that outstanding UI?
Altia provides the whole tool set – which gets a development team from graphics in Photoshop all the way to the production target. This means that your designers’ pixels get into production.
Many of the audience members from our presentation stopped by the booth to learn more. Seeing our demos really helped bring the concepts from my static Power Point slides to life.
