Steve Tengler, Altia’s User Experience Director (and frequent contributor to this blog), will be joining representatives from Continental Corporation, Johnson Controls and Lear Corporation to deliver “A Fresh Look at the HMI and Center Stack” at the Ward’s Auto Interiors Conference. The conference will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI.
As a panelist, Steve will be presenting “User Experience vs. User Interface.” He will lend his informed and practiced perspective to the panel session by discussing the difference between these two common (but important) terms in every HMI developer’s vocabulary – and show his audience some examples of a successful pairing of interface and experience. Finally, Steve will share his method for developing a user interface that delivers an optimum user experience.
The conference will feature speakers from additional companies like Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Visteon and Delphi. There will be two keynote speakers at the event — Ralph Gilles, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dodge Car Brand and Chrysler Group LLC Senior Vice President – Product Design, and Robert Gelardi, Senior/Lead Designer for Ford Motor Co. whose recent work has included the 2008 Lincoln MKS, 2010 Mustang/Shelby GT500, and the 2012 BOSS 302.
