Model-driven development recommended strategy for new product development

The December 2009 issue of Embedded Computing Design had a great article from Greg Gorman at IBM Rational entitled “Advanced designs require new strategies in product development.” Gorman recommends software development strategies for companies developing new, innovative products.

We especially found this statement about the benefits of model-driven development interesting:  “Using model-driven development, telecommunications companies have seen productivity improvements, including 46 percent fewer designs behind schedule and 49 percent fewer designs cancelled.”
