Design Webinar Q&A – Deck objects

February 22nd, 2012

*** On February 14th, one of our Senior HMI Developers, Brian Stewart, presented a training webinar entitled “Altia Design 101: Ready, Set, GUI!”. The webinar showed how to build user interface projects from start to finish. Brian also included a live demo of building an automotive user interface using our GUI tools. This post features a question asked by an attendee.

QUESTION: So my deck can be really deep? How many cards can you have in a deck / deck object?

Brian: Yes. You can have tons of separate “screens” by using the cards of the deck. Altia Design lets you create user interfaces / GUI that have infinite number of screens. Decks make this easy. There are technically an unlimited number of cards in a deck plus you can have decks inside decks and any number of objects within any number of deck cards. New in Altia Design 10 was the navigator which made managing decks even easier and more visual. For details and demo videos on the navigator, you can go here: Altia Design 10.1
