Altia is “Ingenuity @ Work”
Colorado Springs, Colo., April 14, 2009 -- The staff of Embedded Computing Design magazine has selected Altia as its choice for the March 2009 issue’s “Ingenuity @ Work” feature. This monthly column spotlights a company with interesting solutions to challenging problems. Altia’s software is identified as a solution to the ever increasing problems that developers face when creating new embedded human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
As embedded devices are becoming smaller, it becomes more difficult to develop interfaces that are useful, intuitive and attractive. Getting a new product interface with the right combination of features to market before the competition is not easy. The article affirms: “Altia helps bridge the gap between the widely dissimilar needs of the creative process and the programming process." Read the complete article here.
With Altia HMI tools, users get the capability to create completely custom HMIs without the need to program graphics. Graphics can be drawn or imported from Adobe® Photoshop® and Microsoft® Visio® and turned into a working, user-driven prototype. Users can connect their prototype with a simulation model to validate behavior and share between development teams and with customers, managers and test groups. Prototypes can then be converted to deployable graphics code which can be run on both low and high power processors.
