I am using an image object to display a dynamically generated image. Each time the image is updated, I see an increase of about 25M in RAM usage by the altiart. This also occurs in Altia Design (with the memory increase in altiaengine). I am using Altia Design 8.06 MR5. Is there anything that I should be doing in order to prevent this occurrence?

My test case is:
1. Open Altia Design
2. Add image object
3. Save
4. Close
5. Re-open Altia Design
6. Set path to "image.png" (file size 162k, resolution 2048x2048)
7. Rotate image.png and resave it
8. Change image_name animation to "a.png"
9. Change image_name back to "image.png"
10. Observe memory usage increase

Thanks,
Kevin

A new Altia Runtime for Windows with fixes for this issue is available for download.

Keven received the download link for this new Altia Runtime to solve his problem.

Other Altia customers, please email support@altia.com for download instructions if this issue is relevant for you.

A new software release, Altia Design 8.07, scheduled for distribution at the end of 2008 will incorporate these fixes as will all future releases of Altia Design and Altia Runtime.
