Altia CEO, Mike Juran, was interviewed by The Colorado Springs Gazette recently. He discussed Altia’s position in the automotive industry as well as important opportunities for displays in other booming technologies areas — home appliances, medical devices, wearable technologies, industrial controls and beyond.

Mike also talked about the need to grow the company to meet this market demand for Altia’s user interface development software. His vision for Altia includes a plan to employ over 1,000 at Altia’s Colorado Springs headquarters within five to 10 years.

Altia Code Generation Target Release: Renesas RH850/D1L1

Altia announces code generation support for its optimized software-rendered pipeline for Renesas RH850/D1L1. This target utilizes the OSEK real-time operating system, a mature automotive standard which offers configurable and scalable architecture.

The Renesas RH850/D1x series was designed to address growing integrated automotive and ground vehicle dashboard markets – and is suited for car instrument clusters, head-up displays (HUDs), and other display applications. The D1L1 features an RH850 CPU core running at 120 MHz – providing 256 KB of RAM and 2 MB of Flash.
