Altia is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing Software Development and Test team. The SDET’s primary responsibilities are software testing and development. SDET would be an experienced test professional with fluent coding skills who will be involved in creating automated test designs and framework to aid the overall software testing process at Altia

Location:  Colorado Springs, CO Headquarters – or – Detroit, Michigan area

Responsibilities:

• Work in an Agile environment with the product owner, software engineers, and other senior test engineers during the entire software development life cycle
• Design and develop Software test designs, test procedures and verification suites
• Design, code and implement automated software test suite and automation framework
• Perform automated and manual functional, regression and end-to-end systems tests for each product release
• Work closely with architects and developers to help debug software issues
• Report and track defects using Altia’s defect management system
• Produce well written documentation for setup, installation and configuration of automated framework
• Comprehensively document software bug reports, test summary and performance reports
• Work in conjunction with Software test team in defining and implementing software test process and methodologies
• Continuously look for ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency allowing us to provide a higher quality product in less time

Required Education/Experience/Competencies:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Eight + years of software development experience in a technology product environment
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Software Test Engineer of which two years as an SDET
• Expert in Software test process, design and test case development
• Advanced programming skills in Python and C
• Experience in setup, problem resolution, testing and debugging of embedded microprocessor systems
• Working knowledge of automated software test systems and embedded touch screen applications
• Adept at planning projects and working independently
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Self-starter with strong personal work ethic, and a “whatever it takes” attitude

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Two years as a software developer with hands on design, coding and debugging experience
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with ASPICE and other Process Improvement methodologies (e.g. CMMI)
• Familiarity with Functional Safety Requirements (ISO/26262)
• Experience using Confluence, JIRA and JAMA software

We are seeking a high energy and driven technical sales hunter/huntress who likes a challenge and can grow current accounts and discover and develop new opportunities. Duties include:

Participate as a member of a cross-trained team with primary responsibilities for

• Day-to-day and month-end accounting and account analyses
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts ensuring supporting documentation for all relevant activity
• Operational and financial reporting including variance analyses
• Third party vendor payment processing, credit card, and employee reimbursement platforms. Oversight includes ensuring the platform is maintained to connect seamlessly to the accounting platform.
• Hardware and software procurement and fixed asset tracking
• The company’s full expenditure cycle including vendor and expense set-up maintenance and ownership of related filings (e.g. 1099 annual report filing and quarterly state and use tax)
• Ownership in all assigned processes including process design and evaluation and integration of new tools as necessary
• Preparation for and participation in annual financial statement audit
• Ad hoc projects
• Coordinating and collaborating with global operations on shared initiatives
• Ownership of regulatory filing requirements

The Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and implementing all facets of Altia’s lead / demand generation activities. The right individual will have proven experience with demand generation marketing for B2B or SaaS companies as well as a strong command of marketing automation systems (such as HubSpot) as well as CRM systems (Salesforce.com).

Our goal is to significantly increase pipeline volume, velocity and conversion rates to achieve our revenue objectives. Our Demand Generation Manager must bring an innovative, goal-oriented and analytic approach to the challenges at hand. Flexibility, a broad skill set, attention to detail and willingness to take on all tasks are critical.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in B2B lead / demand generation for technology companies
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Business or a related Technical Discipline
• Experience in enterprise software with a SaaS focus is strongly desired

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and revise existing lead generation activities. Establish goals and then construct, organize and execute an overall lead generation strategy and systems.
• Manage all campaign activities in Salesforce and report results (open rates, click rates, lead to opportunity and opportunity to close rates, etc.).
• Monitor and make metric-based suggestions for improving the performance and effectiveness of all marketing programs and lead generation campaigns including lead scoring and lead nurturing programs.
• Analyze and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue, close rates and sales cycle length.
• Be an in-house expert and advocate for marketing automation and CRM systems.
• Lead our efforts in segmentation, data importing, data cleanup, lead management, etc.
• Help plan, organize and execute webinars, paid search, mass mailings, events, SEO, etc.

The Senior Project Manager will support and manage the full software development life cycle associated with Altia’s Engineering Services initiatives. The Sr. Project Manager will be the central point of contact for customers, vendors, developers and internal leadership, and is responsible for software / services project deliverables, schedules and compliance to established processes and quality standards. As a servant leader, the Sr. Project Manager ensures execution is smooth and all activities, communication and coordination is tightly managed to protect scope commitments and manage risk, actively tightening budget and schedule. The position reports to the Portfolio Manager.

A highly motivated self-starter is a must for this role. This position requires a seasoned, proactive and problem-solving project manager experienced with large, complex projects and customer environments. The candidate will have the capacity to manage through customer interaction to produce positive outcomes while protecting the development team from distraction and wasted effort. The candidate will need to be comfortable leading a large team or multiple smaller teams in a growth environment where infrastructure and process have not been established or are in development. As a part of the Altia team, this role will support and participate in the development of processes and quality standards.

The Sr. PM will partner with the Technical Lead as part of Altia’s Operating Model, to ensure technical delivery is managed within project boundaries, while providing a superior customer experience.

    • Central point of contact for the customer and Altia project team
    • Conduit between Project Lead and Customer to manage technical issues, boundaries and delivery issues

    • Manage performance against plan schedule, tasks, milestones and deliverables, making necessary adjustments to ensure timely communication and corrective actions
  • Resource Management
    • Negotiate the use of resources, schedules, and scope creep with customer and management
    • Make recommendations to Resource Manager about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input from team members
• Work collaboratively with Technical Leads to support software engineers, lead architects, quality analysts and leadership.
• Excel at administering and coordinating groups of diverse individuals by promoting teamwork, delegating tasks, resolving conflict, setting goals and evaluating performance
• Coach and train project team members on Agile principles and tools as well as Altia’s development processes and best practices
• Use creative problem-solving skills and powerful negotiation strategies to bring alignment and agreement to conflict
• Work with Sales Representatives to further customer involvement in the product development lifecycle

Travel 25 – 50% – Amount of travel is dependent upon portfolio workload and project coverage and driven by the ability to create a trusting relationship with the customer.

Education & Experience:

• B.S. Degree or higher in Business or related field
• Project Management Certificate or Degree
• 7+ years in a direct Project Management role within a technology environment
• Knowledge of PMI Process Groups
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
• Experience with Project Management scheduling and tracking tools like MS Project and JIRA
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
• Experience managing projects following the software engineering V-model
