Overview

Altia tools can be used to generate user interface code for Altera hardware. Altia DeepScreen can target GUIs created in Altia Design to a simple frame buffer on NIOS II hardware or to the D/AVE accelerated graphics API offered by TES. With this combination, it is possible to get outstanding graphics performance for next generation GUIs.

  altiaGL Frame Buffer Example

Download this zip file to check out a simple touch screen HMI. The screen is WVGA with a pixel resolution of 800 x 480. Rendering is accomplished using code generated for DeepScreen's altiaGL frame buffer target running on a NIOS2 processor. This project uses no additional hardware acceleration -- all graphic rendering is done in software.

altiaGL D/AVE Examples

Download this zip file to check out these two touch screen HMIs. The screens are WVGA with a pixel resolution of 800 x 480.
