Budgeted Base Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,00

Who we want: We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment and excels at creating clear, accurate and well-organized written material, including user guides, reference manuals, process/procedure documentation, knowledge base articles and training material for external and/or internal consumption. The winning candidate will be able to draw information from multiple sources, including existing documentation, product requirements and feature descriptions, development engineers and hands-on product usage to produce final work products. She/He/They will also need to be able to communicate and work across the entire breadth and depth of the Altia organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit user guides, reference manuals and release notes
  • Produce electronic documentation for end-user and internal consumption
  • Review, edit and maintain internal process and procedure documentation
  • Develop, review, and edit Knowledge Base material
  • Transition the product line to online context-sensitive documentation, as-needed
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • B.S. or higher in English, Communications, or a related discipline; advanced knowledge in engineering or computer science strongly desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency using software tools, such as MS Office, InDesign, Photoshop, FrameMaker, Pivotal Tracker, Jira, Confluence, and MadCap Flare
  • Expert-level writing and communication skills
  • Ability to productively collaborate across teams, departments, and all employee levels
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple active documentation projects
  • Familiarity and facility within a broad range of technical areas including Windows application concepts, embedded systems, and cloud/SaaS technology

Sales Manager – IoT Accounts, North America

Who we want: We are seeking a high-energy, driven sales hunter/huntress who likes a challenge and can grow current accounts and discover and develop new opportunities. This key hire will come with a well-developed network both in and out of the embedded electronics markets and a solid understanding of embedded software engineering and tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive design wins for embedded GUI/HMI projects for agriculture, construction, off-road, motorcycle, medical equipment, industrial, and consumer applications in North America with new and existing customers
  • Prospect for new business with minimal direction
  • Have the vision to see the solution to the business needs of customers
  • Profitably and consistently exceed revenue targets and quotas
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with key customers and partners through relationship building, technical competence, strong listening skills, and a genuine passion to guide their success
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts that will be a key factor in overall company planning
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to drive new business opportunities
  • Ensure a long-term competitive edge for the territory through a value-added approach to prospects and customers
  • Rolls up sleeves when appropriate, to be an active participant in new product development, sales strategies and marketplace analysis

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales within an embedded software environment, embedded display programming, device or screen-based user interface design
  • Familiarity with embedded development technologies and embedded software development tools
  • An excellent communicator within a team as well as with customers over email, teleconferencing and face- to-face
  • Demonstrated success in solution selling, selling into the defined verticals and ideally selling embedded software solutions
  • Services sales experience highly desirable
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Prepared to travel ~75% of the time

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

Who we want: We are looking for a creative, team-first, B2B marketing expert. The Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and implementing all facets of Altia’s lead / demand generation activities. The right individual will have proven experience with demand generation marketing for B2B or SaaS companies as well as a strong command of marketing automation systems (such as HubSpot) as well as CRM systems (Salesforce.com).

Our goal is to significantly increase pipeline volume, velocity and conversion rates to achieve our revenue objectives. Our Demand Generation Manager must bring an innovative, goal-oriented and analytic approach to the challenges at hand. Flexibility, a broad skill set, attention to detail and willingness to take on all tasks are critical.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and revise existing lead generation activities. Establish goals and then construct, organize and execute an overall lead generation strategy and systems.
  • Manage all campaign activities in Salesforce and report results (open rates, click rates, lead to opportunity and opportunity to close rates, etc.).
  • Monitor and make metric-based suggestions for improving the performance and effectiveness of all marketing programs and lead generation campaigns including lead scoring and lead nurturing programs.
  • Analyze and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue, close rates and sales cycle length.
  • Be an in-house expert and advocate for marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • Lead our efforts in segmentation, data importing, data cleanup, lead management, etc.
  • Help plan, organize and execute webinars, paid search, mass mailings, events, SEO, etc.

Required Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in a focused B2B Lead/Demand Generation role for a technology company or companies; we are not looking for agency/consultant experience
  • Experience with enterprise software products with a SaaS focus is strongly desired; embedded software experience is a plus!

Reflecting on 2020…Altians Giving Back

None of us could have predicted the happenings of 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. Quarantining, remote work, remote school and Zoom calls were just the tip of a giant iceberg.

Across the globe, Altia’s team members were incredibly lucky. Not only were our employees able to forge ahead with business development, customer projects and new product development with very little disruption, but we were able to find new ways to connect with one another. One of the best ways for us to remain connected during the pandemic was to find opportunities to give back.

COVID-19 revealed tremendous need for our hometown community of Colorado Springs. In April, Altia responded to that need by providing funds for meals and laptops for the amazing students of Harrison District Two.

Heads Up with Altia at CES 2021

CES 2021 has begun! Even though we can’t be there in person, the Altia Design Research Lab was proud to team up with the Texas Instruments DLP team and Ceres this year on a powerful electric truck HUD demo. Check it out here:

This concept expands the head-up display beyond its traditional function to serve as a potential replacement for the instrument cluster in an electric truck. The goal of the design is to strike the perfect balance of offering as much content as needed and as little content as possible.
